Show Your Wings Logo

I liked the idea of having a silhouette of something with wings, to give the impression of it showing off, as the sun goes down.

I had a bunch of Island batik scraps, some of which were left over from the ‘all a flutter’ collection, which i knew would make a powerful sunset, so i began cutting out lots and lots and LOTS of squares, which is where my AccuQuilt cutting machine came in very handy. But what took longer then cutting out the squares??? my constant rearranging of the squares 😉

I used Vlieseline Bondaweb to transfer my bats, I used three different sizes…

I couldn’t resist using some Gutermann metallic thread to add some sparkle to my twilight quilt

I used Island batik fabric to bind the quilt, and added some quilted stars for some extra detail, using the metallic threads

and finally my bats were ready to fly and show their wings…
