September Challenge…

Wow, where is this year going… my apology’s for the late September Island Batik challenge post.

September post was called ‘Child’s Play’, and i decided to make a Nursery Mobile…

I used the stunning rainbow Kaleidoscope batiks

I’ve also always wanted to try braiding, I’ve used the clever tool from ‘Pony’ – ply splitting needle’ (A short video using this tool is over on my Instagram page  )

I used a embroidery hoop, which I covered in the braided cords from Groves

I created six hearts, from the purple and blue shades, and filled each one with soft toy filling
